Learn More About Quitting Smoking

Quitting smoking is no exception. Unfortunately, many have tried to quit smoking and experienced the disappointment of failure.

Regardless of whether you have tried to quit smoking and failed, or going to quit on your first attempt, the question is;
How much do you know about quitting smoking?

To learn about quitting it is important to first gain a clear understanding about the two problems of quitting smoking.

If you have already received our free download, you will be aware of the different solutions available on the market, and that the True Quit Method provides a complete solution to both problems of quitting smoking.

The Two Problems With Quitting Smoking

There are many misconceptions about the problems of quitting smoking. Some say it is stress that causes them to smoke or have an alcoholic beverage, or perhaps a coffee.
Others say it’s the nicotine or it is just a plain “habit”.

Does this mean that you need to give up coffee or change your daily routine, or become immune to life’s stresses? Luckily the answer is “No” because all these issues can be reduced to just two problems:

Physical Cravings

Physical cravings occur when nicotine levels in the body are reducing and the body has not yet fully adjusted to lowered nicotine levels.

Each day the body constantly filters out the nicotine, and it will continue this filtering process until all the nicotine is gone.
Despite this, the nicotine level stays fairly constant because a smoker “tops-up” the nicotine levels with each cigarette.

When you quit smoking you stop topping up, and the nicotine levels reduce to a point that the body is not accustomed to, causing an uncomfortable physical reaction. This reaction is felt as a Physical Craving somewhere in the body. Often these are felt in the mouth, throat, chest, or belly.

The graph below illustrates the relationship between nicotine leaving the body and physical cravings.

On average 80% of the nicotine is filtered out of the body in the first three days and almost all is gone by day ten.
As you can see by the green arrow to the left, this is a big drop in nicotine.

Most physical cravings occur in the first 5-7 days after you have stopped smoking.

Once all the nicotine has been filtered out of the body, and the body has adjusted to not having nicotine, no more physical cravings occur. So to be free of physical cravings forever, you will need to stop the intake of nicotine for at least 14 days.

Mental Cravings

True Quit has developed a unique understanding of the mental side of smoking addiction. When you smoke because of a mental craving,
there are four stages that occur before you smoke.

The first stage is when a familiar daily “event” occurs, such as that first cup of coffee in the morning, or a break between chores, perhaps before a meeting, after a meal, or with an alcoholic drink, just to mention a few. Even an emotion or feeling such as stress, worry, fatigue, or boredom can be an event that leads to a mental urge.

The thought of smoking is the second stage in the mental process that leads to a mental craving. When one of these events occurs, the thought of smoking arises because the mind has linked this thought to the event, by association. This is a normal mental function that happens all the time. For example, with the event of seeing a red traffic light, you think “stop”, or the event of hearing a dog bark, you think “dog”.

The four stages of the mental process that lead to a mental craving begin with an event. The second stage is the thought of smoking, which your mind has previously linked to this event. Then there are two further stages, leading to a mental craving and smoking.

In order for you to quit smoking, you will need to control your mental cravings. This can be achieved by eliminating one of the four stages of this mental process.

Only Two Problems

Take a moment to think. Is there anything other than physical cravings and mental cravings that would prevent you from quitting smoking? Some clients will say, “What about stress or when I see someone smoking. “How will I prevent these things from making me smoke?” Actually, stress and any other strong emotion are really just another event that leads to a mental craving. Similarly, seeing someone smoke is also an event that leads to a mental craving.

So there are really only two problems to solve in order to stop smoking. These are physical cravings and mental cravings.

The True Quit Solution

The True Quit Method provides a solution to both problems of quitting smoking by first reducing and then eliminating cravings.

Eliminate Physical Cravings

We know that physical cravings occur as the nicotine levels drop during the first 10 – 14 days of stopping smoking. We also know that after 10 – 14 days all the nicotine has left the body and the body is accustomed to not having nicotine. After this time physical cravings will be eliminated permanently because the body has completely readjusted to not having nicotine.

The True Quit Method uses a cold, low-level laser treatment to reduce the intensity of the physical cravings that occur while the body is flushing out the nicotine. This laser is applied to acupuncture points that are known to reduce the intensity of physical cravings. Research suggests that this type of treatment stimulates increased endorphin production for up to two weeks. As nicotine leaves the body, endorphin levels are lowered. Increased endorphin production assists the body to readjust to the rapidly lowering levels of nicotine, and in the process reducing the intensity of physical cravings. This is illustrated in the following graph.

The True Quit laser treatment reduces the intensity of the physical cravings so that you should not need to use willpower while the body is flushing out the nicotine.

Eliminate Mental Cravings

We said above that the solution to mental cravings is to eliminate one of the four stages of the mental process. The True Quit Method eliminates the fourth stage, which stops the mental craving, so you don’t have the urge to smoke.

The True Quit Method delivers an education module that gives you an understanding of this mental process, and then shows you exactly what the mental craving actually is; which is surprisingly different to what you think it is. This understanding is then condensed into a very simple 30-second technique, which does not require willpower of any special ability. With this technique, you will be able to make the mental craving disappear each time it occurs.

True Quit Support, Backup And Money Back Guarantee True Quit also provides a telephone support program for all clients. This assists in the initial 14 days while you are mastering the mental technique, and also at any time in the future if you need to refresh your understanding. Low-cost backup treatments are also available if you need extra support.

Don't Risk Trying Anymore Faulty & Incomplete Methods

The reason why all the other methods you’ve tried have failed you is that they don’t understand what mental & physical cravings actually are. These faulty methods don’t eliminate mental cravings, which continue for many, many years. So you’re forced to use willpower for years, so you don’t relapse. Then a strong emotional event occurs & you start smoking again! The truth is… your brain has adapted to continually generate cravings, and it needs to be retrained back to normal… so you don’t get cravings anymore. Then you won’t relapse.
