Calendar Integration Privacy Statement

This privacy statement is in addition to our General Privacy Statement and specifically relates to how we collect, store, and use data when a Practitioner clinic calendar is connected with True Quit via our calendar integration.  This connection may be via the Google Calendar API or a direct API connection with the practitioner’s appointment management software.  In this statement we will refer to both types of calendars as “your calendar” or “your clinic calendar”.

What information do we collect?

We collect time availability information from your calendar when you integrate your clinic calendar on our calendar.  This appears in our calendar as unavailable time, and does not show any details about this calendar event in our calendar.

We do not access, view, or store any details relating to your calendar events, except the start and end time of a calendar event.  This means that we do not access, view or store any appointment information about your non True Quit clients.

When you integrate your calendar with our’s, we do collect your name, email address, and API key in order to make the secure calendar connection.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

To establish a continuous connection between your calendar and True Quit’s calendar.

To book appointments for True Quit clients into your clinic calendar for your to provide the True Quit Appointment.

To reschedule, cancel, and edit appointments of True Quit clients in your clinic calendar.

Note: If at any time you would like to disconnect your calendar from True Quit, you can click the “Disconnect” button on the Calendar Integrations page, after logging into your True Quit Practitioner account.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your information when you connect your calendar with True Quit.

We use a secure server server. All webpages are secured via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. The API connection with your calendar is via O-Auth 2 for Google Calendar or an encrypted API key from your clinic software provider.  Our database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. However, please note that we do not access or store any non-True Quit client information in our database.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.
